Often times planning a baby shower can be quite a hassle. You need to determine who will host the shower, who to invite, where & when the shower will take place, and what activities should be planned, what food should be served and what decorations/favors are best. Let’s tackle these issues in order.
Anyone can host the shower; however it should be someone who is close to the mother-to-be or a family member.
All of the mom’s friends and family should be invited. If the shower is a surprise, you need to make sure everyone knows, so no one “spills the beans”.
The shower should be held somewhere that is both convent and comfortable for the expecting mother. It’s also best to have it at a friends or family member’s house, so the mother-to-be don’t have to worry about cleaning up afterwards.
There are so many games and actives that you can do to pass the time. By doing a search online for “baby shower games” you’ll be able to find something. A short speech of congratulations is also a nice touch that the mother will be sure to love.
All the typical part foods are appropriate here. Cake, ice cream and snacks are all great. Don’t forget to ask the guest of honor what her favorite kind of cake is.
Any party supply store should have plenty of decorations for your shower. If you’re looking for a specific theme it may be best to look online. It’s also nice to give a favor away to your guest, as a way to say thank you for coming. These can be bought at any party store as well, or sometimes for a creative touch, they can be made.
When the party starts, make sure you greet every guest as they arrive. Then make sure you’re available at all times to make sure everything runs smoothly. Last, but not least, make sure you have fun! If you’re having a good time, your guests are sure you have fun too.
